Regular events are organised throughout the year to promote Irish culture and tradition, discounts on tickets for members-see Club Events as well as networking with people of similar interests who enjoy the craic !

Friends Of Guiness and Irish Traditional Music Sessions.

President's dinner held on the Friday before St Patricks Day in March.

NQIA participates in the Townsville Cultural Festival as well as fund raising events throughout the year including fancy dress event, camping weekend and sports day.

NQIA soccer team Gaelforce, which participates in Amateur soccer league from March to Sept every year.

The big event of the year is St Patricks day in March where Association members and friends are involved in a local Irish traditional music band which actively participates in the festivities organised in several hotels and bars in and around the city.

Members also participate in the Palm Creek Folk Festival held at Palm creek eco park on the outskirts of Townsville, this is usually held during the Queens birthday long weekend in June.
