Friends Of Guiness
Irish Traditional Music Sessions
President's dinner held on the Friday before St Patricks Day in March, held at the Touch of Salt Restaurant with good food, wine , Irish dance and music.
Irish poets dinner held in Touch of Salt Restaurant in October every year. Similar format to Presidents dinner with additional celebration of Irish Poetry and literature.
Association soccer team Gaelforce, which participates in Amateur soccer league from March to Sept every year, culminating in a fun day and soccer blitz held at Rebels soccer grounds on Thuringowa Drive.
The Association participates in the Townsville Cultural Festival.
Fund raising events throughout the year including fancy dress disco, camping weekend and sports day.
The big event of the year is St Patricks day in March where Association members and friends are involved in a local Irish traditional music band which actively participates in the festivities organised in several hotels and bars in and around the city.
Members also participate in the Palm Creek Folk Festival held at Palm creek eco park on the outskirts of Townsville, this is usually held during the Queens birthday long weekend in June.
